Permanent Supportive Affordable Housing 

The revitalized space includes upgraded mobility units and communication-featured studios to meet current accessibility standards. Residents can enjoy a variety of community amenities, such as a cozy lounge, garden, fitness center, and a communal kitchen. On-site case management services, provided by the Redwood Community Action Agency, offer essential support to help residents thrive. This initiative is made possible by a heartfelt collaboration with the City of Arcata, the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Eligibility

Eligibility for West Village Studios is determined by the highest needs, identified through the local Coordinated Entry System. The Humboldt County Continuum of Care’s CES ensures that individuals, young adults, and families experiencing homelessness are prioritized for housing, shelter, or services based on their urgent needs, providing them with a chance to find stability and a new beginning.
